This necklace features an exquisite piece of ancient fossilized walrus ivory, carved by artist Steven Ruse. The ivory came from ancient artifacts such as ice axes, sled runners, spear points, and buttons that were used by the old bering sea peoples. These objects were dug up by native Eskimos of northern alaska, and carved by Steven in bali. The carving measures 4.7 cm in height, and features an eagle and two wolves.
Sarah set this very special carving in oxidized sterling silver, with a green tourmaline cabochon. Pendant hangs on an 18" sterling silver chain, adorned with green tourmaline and pyrite beads.
